Hello prospective students! My name is Markos Gregory. I have a strong
educational background which gives me the acumen to guide you on your learning
journey. I am hoping that through my knowledge of many subjects I will be able to
help bridge the gap between struggle and success. After completing my prerequisite
classes at WLAC with "A" grades for all my classes, I transferred to the University of
Minnesota to continue a graduate program in Biomedical Engineering. After completing
my first bachelor's degree I’ve been working as a subject tutor and teaching aide for 13
years at West Los Angeles College. In both California and Minnesota, I have taught math,
physics, chemistry, and biology to middle school, high school, and college students. I
met students with ADHD, ADD, and autism, and had a lot of experience making
connections with studying, I have had experience tutoring one-on-one and in groups.
I’ve also prepared students for the MCAT, ACT, and SAT examinations.

Since working at WLAC, I’ve seen numerous students through hard times, and
their “Aha!” moment motivates me to go above and beyond. My process is making sure
the students understand the problem and are able to work their way through it. I will
repeat the problem to the student and wait patiently until they are able to piece together
the solution. I rely on audio-visual aids to make studying fun. I used animation and
photoshop to make the simulation. I am happy to offer you a free 30-minute tutorial to
make sure you are interested in my teaching methods. So please feel free to contact me if
you have any questions about your classes.

Anatomy

Anatomy

I’m an M.D. with an M.S. in Physics and 18+ years of teaching. I tutor Anatomy & Physiology across levels—pre-nursing, pre-med, PT/OT, EMT, and medical school. We build from foundations (terminology, planes, movement) to gross anatomy (osteology, joints, muscles, vessels, nerves), neuroanatomy (cranial nerves, tracts, dermatomes), and viscera (thorax, abdomen, pelvis). I integrate clinical correlations, radiology (X-ray/CT/MRI/ultrasound), and biomechanics so structures make sense in real cases.

A patient and understanding tutor who truly cares about his students

I'm a very visual learner, and I truly appreciate how understanding he is during our lessons. I I was drown to his profile because he mentioned helping student with ADHD and other learning difference that really stood out to me. Not many tutors acknowledge or take the time to teach students with different learning styles I think that's amazing. he explains everything clearly, and i can feel he genuinely cares about his students' progress. I'm already leaning so much from him and I'm really grateful for his support

knowledgeable and patient physics tutor

Dr Markos has been teaching 11th grade physics to my daughter since past 3-4 months. He is experienced, professional, detail oriented in his teaching approach! My daughter was fearful of physics subject and not interested in it initially. Under Mr Markos tutoring, she is gaining confidence and picking interest in the subject and willing to explore engineering route for college. Thank you Mr Markos!

Knowledgeable tutor who easily breaks down physics

Marks was AMAZING!! With great ease, he was able to look at my son's high school lessons, and teach it in a way that made both him and me feel like we were counting 2+2! Marks uses tools to facilitate your understanding: white board, note-taking, recording, and interactive learning with assurance that you really do understand the content and it's concept. EXCELLENT!! You'll be glad you chose him.
