I help all sorts of students from 2nd grade to university level. I have saved failing students, helped students become valedictorian, and helped students gain matriculation into colleges such as Princeton, Stanford, NYU, the University of California schools, etc.

I am a former scientist with publications in muscle physiology. I have been a robotics engineer and founded an organization that has won at the national collegiate level. I have taught at the grade school, high school, and...

I am a former scientist with publications in muscle physiology. I have been a robotics engineer and founded an organization that has won at the national collegiate level. I have taught at the grade school, high school, and college level, and I have written a highly rated preparatory textbook for the AP Physics 1 exam, "Kweller Prep Advanced Placement Physics 1".

Now I run a home school program teaching assorted math, science, coding, biology, and robotics courses, and my students leave my school over prepared for the schools they transfer to. I simply love to teach and I love the process of education.

I believe that no job, no career, no dream, is outside of the reach of persistence and dedication. My approach to tutoring is to guide the student to develop their own system of learning. I lecture students with the intention of empowering them to become their own tutors and to evolve past the need for my services. The skills I hope to impart will advance the student's ability to learn in all realms, beyond the subject matter we cover. There is nothing I enjoy more than watching a student become a master of their own learning.

Chess

I have been playing chess on and off for about 10 years. Although I do not have a formal FIDE rating I play on Chess.com with other competitive players. I am familiar with basic openings and defenses and how the game unfolds into the three stages of beginning, middle, and endgame. I also occasionally play with a a person who was a few points shy of 2,200, which means he is just shy of being a chess master. I really enjoy the game and am very qualified to teach a basic to intermediate level well.

I am currently studying both muay thai and jiu jitsu with NorCal Fighting Alliance in Santa Rosa. I also did approximately one year of study with POW fitness in Chicago of no gi jiu jitsu and kickboxing. As a Master Trainer at Club One, I also teach these practices to my clients. My background in Yoga also assists my ability to control my body. I plan to teach both a beginners level Yoga class and an "MMA Fit" Kickboxing class at Club One in Petaluma California, early next year.

I have taken the MCAT and am a former medical student at Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. I have experience tutoring the MCAT and can help a person design a "structure" for approaching the MCAT. It begins with using good review materials, which can change depending on your level of understanding. I tutor the MCAT by getting a student set up with review materials and have them go through it on their own time and help them cultivate self-discipline. As the student accumulates questions or gets stuck on concepts, the student submit me a list of questions and topics they would like clarification on. I then design a lecture on this material and guide you through your sticking points. This keeps it efficient, I am only tutoring you what you need to know and not wasting your time teaching you things you already know. The MCAT takes a LOT of work. I have studied under multiple majors (electrical engineering, physics, kinesiology) prior to attending medical school. With each major I learned about different processes of learning and education and gained and overall understanding of how to efficiently study. I also gave a lecture on efficient study techniques to incoming medical and podiatry students at my former medical school. Studying can be broken down into a process and a science that has some commonalities, but must be uniquely tailored and adopted to an individual’s learning style. I enjoy guiding students to discover and gain efficiency in their own learning style.

I have studied both Kundalini and a form of Vinyasa flow yoga and practice yoga six days a week and meditation seven days a week. I also privately instruct yoga in my job as a master trainer at Club One, where I help an individual remove excess joint guarding with targeted yoga and I also design specific sun salutations for my clients based on their specific needs. I may be teaching my own yoga class at Club One beginning early next year.

Invaluable help to our three children

This is a comment from a grateful parent, I will have my children follow up with their own insights. We have triplets, Will is willing and able to tackle any subject the kids need at a moment's notice. He is brilliant, he can tutor AP Physics, Chem, Trig, Algebra II any subject with patience and humor and engage the kids on their level in a way that makes the material attainable and enjoyable as well...he is exceptional. He is incredibly flexible, as well, if one kid has an upcoming test, he will happily meet any of the kids for any subject...which is incredibly kind and very accommodating to our fluid schedules...and academic needs. An exceptional teacher

Will has been working with our teenage son twice-weekly for over a year now, and I wanted to update my review to reflect the amazing job he has done for our family. Will is a brilliant teacher, able to break complicated subjects down into simple terms and communicate them with patience and clarity. We pay him a half-hour for lesson preparation, since he is guiding our 8th grade son through an advanced course of study in science and math, and he never fails to use this time well. He brings in experiments, well-thought-through lesson plans, and takes time to go over and grade every assignment our son completes, making sure to go over and problems that gave him trouble. Will is also a gem of a human, with a strong ethical sense. He looks at our bright, complex, and talkative home-study student as a chance to grow in patience and teaching skills. All around perfect tutor!

Will is the best tutor we could ever ask for. He is so knowledgeable, friendly, and relates well to the kids. He tutored my daughter in AP Physics, when she was is a sophomore. She got an A both semesters and a 4 on the AP exam. Her teacher taught little, mostly gave assignments and did labs. Will provided her with a strong understanding of every topic. If you are looking for a tutor who you child will enjoy learning and spending time, Will is you guy. We were lucky he had just moved to the area because once word gets around how great he is, it's going to be hard to hire him. His fee for tutoring is worth every $ spent. He should actually raise his prices.
