Hi there, I'm Ella! I'm a current sophomore attending Stanford University, and I'm extremely passionate and dedicated to helping students achieve their dreams in academics. I graduated summa cum laude from my high school and have tutored students of all ages (elementary to high school) with all subjects for 5+ years.
Specialty-wise, I served as the lead MathCounts coach of my local middle school and wrote/taught original curriculum to help students achieve regional and state titles. I also tutored my peers in high school for 4 years, specializing in AP classes and SAT guidance. Additionally, I served as my county's youth poet laureate and taught poetry/creative writing for 3 years, helping students find their voice. I also worked as an instructor for a well known tutoring facility, teaching mainly toddlers/elementary students English and mathematics. In college, I was hired as an intern for the "I Have a Dream" Foundation where I teach low-income/first generation students various subjects and college preparation.
My greatest passion is teaching and I've been very lucky to have been called a favorite teacher by all of my students. I always prioritize my students' happiness and self-confidence. I thoroughly believe that every student is incredibly talented and must be celebrated for their skills. Teaching is a way to support, not a way to lecture. I dedicate myself to mastering what I teach, but I care most about who I teach.
