College Student Looking to Help Students Grow

I attend American University and I am an Environmental Studies and Music Major. I am in Santa Monica for the summer and am looking to help students grow and excel in class. I have taught multiple elementary school and middle school students in high school and I currently help a group of clarinetists in at an elementary school in Washington, DC. I have taught many children in the clarinet and know how to work with children.

I have been playing clarinet for eleven years. I attended Santa Monica High School and was the first chair in the most advanced ensemble, in the orchestra for three years, in the marching band for four years and section leader for one, pep band for one year and in jazz band for one year. I have performed with musical celebrities such as Michael McDonald and Weird Al. I was the first chair in the American University Symphonic band for one year and in the orchestra for one year. I have also been a member of the American University pep band for two years. I have been taking private lessons myself for eleven years.

As someone who has recently left high SMMUSD, I know what the music program is looking for in elementary, middle and high school. I know the music teachers in this area and I know what they are looking for in students. I have been playing the clarinet for most of my life and I am dedicating my life to this art. I have taught multiple students in the past and continue to work with them while I am in college. I am trying to begin a potential career as a Music Tutor and am more than willing to accommodate for students and work with them. I look forward to hearing and working with people.
