Na’ilah M. (Nah-ee-lah) is an innovative and inspiring teacher, speaker, writer and artist whose life work revolves around the hands on study and application of the principles of Education, Spirituality, Psychology, and Creative Expression as applied to identity, human behavior, social systems, and relationships. The foundation of her work rests on working with individuals and organizations to recognize and shift paradigms; to turn away from us vs them, and turn toward Ubuntu “I am because we are.”
Making use of her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis in Multi-Cultural Community Clinical Psychology, she has over twenty years of experience working in education, psychology, and community organizations. She has worked for over 10 years as a speaker. Na’ilah is also writing a book on a new paradigm for education. She developed and facilitated ‘The Rhythm of the Heart’ at Guidance for two years, ‘Healing Through Writing’ workshops at Bridges to Recovery, and produced ‘Agape Poetry Jam and Dance’ for three years. She has created a board game, and written five chapbooks of poetry.
As a world traveler she has directly experienced many diverse cultures and lifestyles. She has experienced six continents, eleven countries, at least 40 states, and countless cities. While engaging in all these activities Na’ilah has been successfully rearing two beautiful children to be loving, thoughtful, creative, and confident contributors to society. All of these experiences inform all that Na’ilah contributes.
