I’m an incoming Professor of Biology, Chemistry, and Biochemistry and PhD candidate in Bioengineering at UCLA with over 7 years of experience as a private tutor and 5 years teaching undergraduate students at UCLA. I specialize in STEM—especially biology, chemistry, physics, algebra, geometry, precalculus, and calculus, including honors and AP. I also offer support in study skills, test prep, and college applications. I’ve worked with students from a wide range of academic backgrounds—honors students looking to deepen their understanding, those needing help catching up, and students preparing for rigorous standardized exams. My strength lies in making challenging science and math concepts understandable, relatable, and even enjoyable.
I hold a Bachelor of Science from UC Berkeley and a Master of Science from UCLA. My doctoral research involves designing and synthesizing polymers for gene therapy applications—a field that combines advanced organic chemistry, biology, and materials science. My expertise lies in tutoring high school and undergraduate students and my deep academic training means I’m able to help students not just learn the material, but understand the “why” behind it, which is key to mastering science and math.
