I work in the fashion industry as an apparel designer, but I also have worked as a graphic designer, an illustrator, and a retoucher. I can easily teach all levels of students all the tricks of the trade, I will cover how to work with an array of projects and files. I will teach how to work with layers, channels, paths, actions, history, mask, retouch, illustrations, logo creations, fashion cads, presentations, graphic and pattern repeats, color correct and use of effects and filters.
If you want to become fluent as a fashion designer, I will outline all the process for you, from how to create a mood board to how to put together a collection. Flats, croquis, technical constructions, tech packs assemblage are all part of the process.
I can also assist wanna-be designers and start-ups how to effectively go about in forming and managing a fashion company, including product development and sourcing, fabric knowledge, construction, and overall fashion-industry tips.
Whether you are in still in school or you need to learn the programs for work or fun, I can help.
If you don't have the material I can provide the software during class, all you need is notes and a willingness to learn. I always give homework, so you practice at home what you learn in class, and I will review your exercises every time, until you become a pro.
Yes, I teach Italian as well. :)
I have been tutoring foreign languages ever since I was a high school student (I speak 5 languages) and I attended the school of foreign languages and humanities at La Sapienza, university of Rome.
I teach all levels, from real beginners to very advanced students who need to practice to maintain their conversation skills. I always adapt my courses to the student's profile : traditional, conversational, in English or entirely in Italian, or a combination of both... I usually use my own material, but I will also adapt to yours.
You will find me being extremely dedicated, encouraging, patient, and fun. My lessons always include interesting facts, Italian history and culture, geography information, and fun games to practice conversation...

Stefania is extremely knowledgeable about Illustrator. My team works at a fashion company, and we needed someone who could speak our language of CADS, stitches and patterns, and she is it! She knows it all and it very organized. She comes prepared with lessons that build upon each other and help you fully understand the tools you are working with. She is very patient and has been able to accommodate various levels of our employees from beginners to intermediate students. She has also been easy to get ahold of! Wonderful tutor, I highly recommend her!
Stefania was very kind, professional, and extremely knowledgable! It was a great learning experience all around. I couldn't of asked for better. I look forward to our next session. Thank you so much, Stefania!!!
Stefania is patient and very knowledgeable. She explains functions very well and showed us what was relevant for our needs. She is prepared and gave us tools to use. We discussed what to focus on for our next session; we look forward to learning more from Stefania.
I have a lot to learn; 56 years old & my first foreign language! If she can teach me she can help anyone. Thank You!
To change colors in Photoshop. She taught me several different methods and why some are needed in some cases vs others or sometimes need to be used together. It was a lot to digest in one meeting. I've scheduled a second appt. with Stefania. I highly recommend her!
Very relaxed yet professional and focused. I need to bridge the gap between the Italian language I am reading about and the spoken word I want to command. I feel Stefania is very helpful in this goal.
I've learned more from Stefania than I ever could by taking a course. She is very helpful and knowledgeable.
I would recommend Stefania to anyone who wants an excellent, creative teacher. She is teaching me to have conversations as if I'm in Italy with her. She is patient and thinks up interesting ways of learning.
I've been having a great time learning Italian with Stefania! Beyond being a native speaker from Florence, she is a grammatical and linguistic scholar, so she doesn't just know what people say, but really understands the nuts and bolts of how both Italian and English work, and is therefore able to explain very clearly when I have a question about something.
Stefania has an excellent understanding of the programs and teaching methods needed to train aspiring designers. Hands down she is the best tutor I have ever worked with and I wish had been able to access her earlier when I struggled through computer classes at Otis. She adjusts quickly to your learning pace and drives you to succeed in accomplishing computer projects on your own. What helps to set her apart form other tutors are her cordial and attentive demeanor as well as her advanced knowledge of fashion and design fields. She understands how to make your designs look cool and professional and she has a very pleasant welcoming personality.
Stefania helped me to discover how to use Adobe Photoshop. Thanks to her I'm able to improve all my photos before I publish them on my page. She is dedicated, patient and nice. She is also very flexible with the schedule if for some reason you have to cancel your class from time to time. I would highly recommend Stefania!!!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
