Hello! My name is Anthony, and I’m excited to help you succeed in your physics, math, and engineering courses. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University and a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. For the past 2.5 years I have been working full-time as a practicing aerospace engineer at Northrop Grumman, where I apply advanced concepts in dynamics, fluids, controls, and computational tools every single day.

My real-world experience allows me to bring practical context to even the most advanced topics. I don’t just teach the equations and methods, I show you exactly how and why these concepts are used in actual aerospace engineering projects. This makes complex material far more intuitive, relevant, and easier to remember. Whether you’re struggling with calculus, physics, differential equations, statics/dynamics, or introductory engineering concepts, I break everything down step-by-step and focus on building a strong conceptual understanding. This gives you the intuition needed to solve problems confidently on your own.

I’m comfortable tutoring high-school through graduate level students, and I offer both online sessions via Zoom and in-person meetings in the Los Angeles area. I’m here to make the learning process less stressful and more rewarding. Let’s schedule a session and get you on track!

Approved Subjects

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering. I have been a practicing aerospace engineer for 3+ years. I use Algebra I concepts everyday and have tutored many students in the subject.
Baseball

Baseball

With a competitive career spanning from youth leagues through Division 1 collegiate baseball, I bring over 15 years of high-level experience and technical expertise to every session. My background at the D1 level has provided me with a deep understanding of advanced mechanics, strategic play, and the mental discipline required to excel at the highest stages. Having played through every developmental phase from kindergarten to high school, I am uniquely equipped to break down complex fundamentals into age-appropriate drills for players of all skill levels. I am passionate about helping the next generation of athletes sharpen their skills and reach their full potential on the diamond.
Chemistry

Chemistry

I have a strong background in chemistry. I completed Honors and AP Chemistry in high school as well as Chemistry 101 in college, earning an A in all three. I also hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, so I’m very comfortable with the kind of analytical thinking and problem-solving skills that chemistry requires.
MATLAB

MATLAB

I have extensive, hands-on experience using MATLAB in both academic and professional settings, particularly for simulation, data analysis, and post-processing. With a background in mechanical and aerospace engineering (B.S. and M.S.), I’ve regularly applied MATLAB to model physical systems, analyze large datasets, and visualize results. I’m comfortable with core programming concepts, scripting, debugging, and using built-in toolboxes for tasks such as numerical methods and signal processing. Because I use MATLAB daily, I can help students not only understand the fundamentals but also develop practical problem-solving skills and efficient coding habits.
Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

I hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering. I graduated magna cum laude in my mechanical engineering program. I have been a practicing aerospace engineer for 3 years. I have hands on experience in applying mechanical engineering concepts and skills to real world applications.
Physics

Physics

I have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, giving me a strong academic foundation in physics. For the past three years, I’ve worked as an aerospace engineer, where I apply physics principles every day in a practical setting. I also completed honors and AP Physics in high school, as well as Physics I and II in college. My background allows me to connect theoretical concepts to real-world applications, helping students better understand and retain the material.
Solidworks

Solidworks

I have several years of experience using SolidWorks throughout my entire college career while earning my degrees in mechanical and aerospace engineering. I’ve used it extensively for 3D modeling, assembly design, and technical drawings as part of coursework and engineering projects. My experience includes creating parametric parts, working with complex assemblies, and producing detailed engineering drawings with proper dimensioning and tolerances. Because I’ve used SolidWorks in an academic setting, I understand common challenges students face and can guide them step-by-step in building both their technical skills and confidence with the software.
Thermodynamics

Thermodynamics

I hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering. I have excelled in a multitude of thermodynamics courses including, but not limited to, Thermodynamics I, Thermodynamics II, and Heat Transfer. I have been a practicing aerospace engineer for 3 years. My experience includes high-speed airbreathing propulsion systems where I had to apply thermodynamic concepts to real world applications.
