Cassandra is proud to be a playwright, screenwriter, narrative designer, and audio drama writer-- often at the same time. As a playwright, she followed up a BA in Playwriting at Columbia College Chicago with a decade of self-productions and residencies, including Chicago Dramatists' Tutterow Fellowship. Most recently, she was a 2025 semifinalist at Austin Film Festival with her play, Billy to His Friends. As a screenwriter, she has certificates from UCLA's Professional Program in both Writing for Television and Producing. She won Austin Film Festival in 2022 with her Scripted Digital Series, Walk Into A Bar. As a narrative designer, she shipped 3 titles for the romance video game Chapters. And as an audio drama writer, she wrote multiple episodes for Wondery, Starlight Radio Dreams, and The Whiskey Radio Hour.
Along the way, she has taught children and adults at Wrtiopia Lab, Chicago Dramatists, PlayPenn, and through independent workshops. She believes in a student-led tutoring experience, in which a student is met where they are at and encouraged to engage their struggle muscles in a fun and welcoming creative environment.

I was a Tutterow Fellow at Chicago Dramatists from 2017 through 2019, during which time I wrote "The Amen Trilogy." I then developed 'The Volunteer" as part of my Downstage Left Residency at Stage Left Theatre. From 2019 to 2020, I developed "Billy to His Friends" through Broken Nose Theatre’s new play development program, The Paper Trail. Most recently, a workshop production of the start of my queer steampunk play, "Skyflint (Part 1)", was part of Haven Chicago's Director's Haven 7.
