My experience with professional writing begins during my undergrad while at Ohio State University. During my time at the school, one of my main projects, was a western social drama play, Antioch, which OSU financed for $7000, which was my first paid gig. Post graduation, my goal was to serve my country which involved me joining the USMC as an officer. Most of my initial writing in the Corps was for senior officers such as point papers, information papers, and presentations. My grammar and English skills were further honed through direct correspondence and mentorship from senior leaders, such as Colonels and Generals.

After leaving active service, my next step was to earn my MBA at UCLA Anderson, with my studies concluding upon graduation. While at school most of my writings were in a business format which involved extensive research papers, a six-month consulting project with write-ups and presentations, and high-level courses in business communication.
Within a few years, time of graduation my side profession of journalism took flight through We Are The Mighty, the military journalism news outlet based in Los Angeles. We Are The Mighty has published nearly 100 of my articles and interviews which detail entertainment, military history, and profile successful people across multiple industries, many of which are veterans.

My writing has continued to be refined through my military training as a Public Affairs officer. My training includes the completion of the Defense Information Public Affairs Officer Course at Fort Meade, MD. My experience as a Public Affairs Officer has been for over three years in the Reserve at two distinct and high-level units. My writing skills have been tested and refined at each place with publications of mine being published from each command.

My work has been further refined by the mentorship of published writers as well, many of which are Writers Guild of America members.
