I've taught hundreds of undergraduates in Philosophy courses such as: Intro to Philosophy, Intro to Ethics, Ancient Greek & Roman Philosophy, Modern Philosophy, Asian Philosophy, Chinese Philosophy, Buddhist Philosophy, Aesthetics, Philosophy of Art, Philosophy of Music, Phenomenology, Philosophy of Religion, Philosophy of Law, and Environmental Ethics.
The majority of my teaching experience has been in the classroom and one-on-one tutoring and mentoring. I am also adept at online teaching. I especially love working one-on-one with students where I can tailor lessons and support to the individual. My students often comment on the personalized attention and care I provide for them as unique learners. I am known for going the extra mile for my students and for my ability to explain complex philosophical ideas in ways that are applicable to their their lives. Students frequently seek me out as a mentor in addition to a teacher.
In addition to teaching writing and reading in my Philosophy classes, I have also worked as an independent editor and writing tutor for essays, theses, dissertations, and books. I love helping people craft good writing that is as dynamic and compelling as their ideas.
