I hold a PhD in Statistical Machine Learning and have spent over a decade studying, researching, and building machine learning systems. My background spans mathematics, machine learning research, and industry experience at companies including Amazon, Adobe, and Typeface, where I have worked on LLM personalization, ranking & recommender systems, and production AI. Throughout my career, I have focused on bridging the gap between theoretical machine learning and real-world applications.

While I can help students with machine learning, statistics, probability, optimization, and related topics, I am particularly passionate about mentoring students who want to build projects, conduct research, or pursue careers in AI and machine learning. Many students learn concepts in class but struggle to apply them to open-ended problems. I enjoy helping students formulate project ideas, design experiments, evaluate models, interpret results, and develop the intuition needed to tackle real-world ML challenges.
