I am a current math instructor at a local learning center, helping elementary, middle, and high school students strengthen their mathematics skills in both small-group and one-on-one settings. I regularly support students in subjects ranging from Algebra and Geometry through Precalculus and Calculus. I also serve as a virtual volunteer math tutor through a nonprofit STEM program that expands access to mathematics education for students in underserved communities.
I hold a Ph.D. in science with a minor in Applied Statistics and worked as a senior data scientist for seven years. In addition, I have passed all three California Subject Examinations for Teachers (CSET) in Mathematics, which cover the full secondary mathematics curriculum and are the same subject-matter examinations required of credentialed math teachers in California.
My tutoring approach focuses on identifying gaps in understanding and breaking down complex concepts into clear, logical steps that students can grasp and apply independently. I can help students strengthen their classroom performance, build confidence in mathematics, and prepare for ACT, SAT, and AP math exams.
