Engaging, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable tutor
I am so thankful I found Teacher Jia. She is teaching my almost-5 year old in 2 hour sessions and is able to keep him engaged and at the table, which is no small feat. Teacher Jia has a bright and cheery disposition and my shy child warmed up to her immediately and became a chatterbox. Teacher Jia is a master at keeping my son interested and eager to show her what he knows through various techniques, from more structured lessons, to games, to story time. She is able to gauge his level of focus and switch gears to make sure he keeps learning happily. In addition, I can tell that Teacher Jia truly enjoys her job and interacting with my son. She is joyful when he is showing improvement, and patient when he needs to fidget a little. Chinese class with Teacher Jia is something my son looks forward to, unlike our prior experience where he dreaded even a 30 minute lesson. I highly recommend Teacher Jia!

Really kind and knowledgeable and patient tutor
Teacher Jia Q. is so patient and kind with my 7 year old daughter. She is able to teach my daughter in the way she specifically needs (my daughter doesn't have a good basis of Chinese to start, and now she's really confident in speaking more) . Teacher Jia Q also knows how to encourage my daughter and not let her give up. Joyelle has actually learned so much more Chinese than we anticipated in such a short time & looks forward to her Chinese class every week. Can't recommend her more!!
