With more than 17 years of experience across engineering, data infrastructure and higher education, I bring an application-based approach to tutoring. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Cal State Fullerton, and a second Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from CSU Channel Islands. This background lets me connect difficult theory to the way it is actually used in technical work.

I have taught and tutored for over seven years, both privately and at the college level, including work as a professor's assistant at Cal State Fullerton. My students have included high school students preparing for AP exams and college undergraduates in engineering, math and science courses. Most of my teaching is one-on-one, in person or online.

At the college level, I tutor electrical engineering (circuit analysis, digital logic and signal processing), differential equations, abstract algebra, real and complex analysis, physics and chemistry. For high school students, I cover algebra, precalculus, AP Calculus AB and BC, statistics, physics and chemistry. I also help with programming logic and computer applications.

My method is to find the exact step where a student gets lost and fix it there. I explain the concept first, then we work problems together until the student can solve them independently. Before exams, we practice timed problems similar to the ones on the test. My goal is for students to understand the logic well enough to succeed on their own assignments and exams.
