When my technology sales position was terminated due to the recession, I was glad to be able to return to the profession I enjoyed the most - teaching literature and expository writing. My most recent tutoring client, a high school sophomore, had a fear of writing and exhibited poor writing mechanics and a weak vocabulary. He has improved both and is no longer afraid of essay writing. When my daughter was a high school student, she had difficulty writing essays. I tutored her but did not make the frequent mistake some parents do writing essays for their children. She is now a professional writer, creating documents worth thousands of dollars for her employer.
