I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology with advanced coursework in general chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, and genetics. My graduate training includes enzymology, metabolic pathways, molecular mechanisms, and research techniques that directly align with AP Biology and AP Chemistry curricula.
Teaching & Tutoring Experience
I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring biology and chemistry at the college level. As a Teaching Assistant at UCSB and Georgetown, I led discussion sections, reviewed core scientific concepts, guided students through problem-solving, and supported exam preparation in molecular biology and biochemistry courses. My work focused on clarifying complex material, providing structured practice, and helping students build strong analytical and conceptual foundations.
Beyond formal TA roles, I have personally mentored undergraduate and master’s-level researchers through one-on-one instruction in molecular biology, genetics, and foundational chemistry. This individualized mentoring often functions as private tutoring: I help students identify knowledge gaps, build study plans, prepare for exams, analyze scientific literature, and develop the academic skills needed for success. Several of my mentees have completed independent research, presented scientific work, and pursued graduate and medical programs.

I break down challenging topics into manageable, understandable steps. My goal is to help students master difficult material, build confidence, and achieve strong academic and AP exam performance.
