I'm Eric, and I've been teaching and tutoring chemistry since 2005. I work at a top-rated university where I get to help students master their general and organic chemistry courses, as well as strengthen their study skills and work to achieve academic success. I have a Master's degree in chemistry and have been in love with the subject since taking it in high school--inspired by a wonderful teacher. This inspiration in turn led me to pursue my career in education.

I have many years of experience teaching in group and individual settings, both in-person and online. My expertise includes tutoring general and organic chemistry at the college level, as well as high school and AP chemistry. I also taught test-prep in MCAT chemistry for The Princeton Review for many years. I have worked with students of all abilities and backgrounds, and I believe anyone can learn and succeed in chemistry!

My familiarity with different learning styles allows me to find what works best for each student to learn effectively and efficiently. I have a knack for breaking down complex topics into manageable and easier-to-digest concepts, helping students to understand the material better and faster. I often find that students who are struggling have issues with their problem-solving strategy. They may read the question and not know how to start solving it or have trouble synthesizing the given information into a coherent solution. I enjoy working with students to develop these important skills that can translate to classes beyond chemistry.
