Hello, I'm Bernardo, *Sí hablo Español*

I am a very passionate person when it comes to helping others and making a positive impact. I have gathered so much knowledge throughout my life from being involved in so many activities, teams, sports, school education, jobs and many more functions. I stay on my toes when it comes to being strategic and focused. I have a very positive approach. I take pride in all the work I do and am fully committed to my tasks. I have many skills and strategies to share and always seeking to learn more.

I have about 4 to 5 years added up of coaching/tutoring experience. I have coached and tutored at elementary schools, high schools and individually. I have coached and tutored at private and public schools. I have also helped individuals at a local Boys & Girls Clubs. I have worked with groups ranging from 7,8 to 15,16 players at a time. And of course I have worked with individuals directly.

I always like to offer a FREE consultation (15-20 mins) before we start our first tutoring session. This really helps both the student (or all parties involved) and I to get to know each other and to see the talent and skills he/she already has so we can build and improve from there (and make adjustments if needed). Another great aspect about this consultation is for me to understand how the student learns best. There are many different ways of learning as well as tutoring/teaching/coaching. I like to accurately present material, drills and examples in the best format that the student will understand the most.

I have played sports my whole life, and as many as I could (basketball, football, volleyball, baseball/men’s softball and many others that are not as popular...like billiards, poker, and chess). One thing I've learned by playing so many sports is that no matter the court, field, mat, table, board or setting you compete on, they all involve strategy. The IQ of any sport goes a very long way.

Basketball

Basketball

Basketball is one of my favorite sports. I have been involved in the game in so many different ways from playing to coaching to even reffing. I have been involved in basketball since I was able to play as a young child (for over 20 + years and counting). I have been coached and taught by so many different personal and aspects throughout my life. I learned so much that I started realizing every time I would step on the court, I would always be ahead of the pack. Not because of my talent mainly but because of the IQ for basketball that I posses. I've always passed my knowledge to everyone I came across to help them improve their game if the person is willing of course. I am always willing to go the extra mile to help and see someone next to me improve in the basketball world. And last but not least, I am always willing and seeking to learn new strategies of and about the game. I have a love and passion for this game and more than just understand it. I am happy to talk more about this subject. Feel free to contact me, thank you.
Poker

Poker

I've been playing poker for a solid 10 years. I've been around poker since my young teens and I started sparking interests in the game at a very young age. By 18 I was playing in Casinos and events. I learned the most about everything involving poker and it's different formalities. The game I really became an expert in was Texas Hold'em which became the most popular poker game over time. From age 21-25 I would be in countless poker tournaments and cash games. Especially in Las Vegas, NV, where I spent most of my time playing poker. Now I am in California and play locally, still to this day. I know all the fundamentals, percentages/out and scenarios like the back of my hand. It is all second nature to me. Also how to read people and how to act and pretend when it suits your hand. How to bet is crucial as well. There are so many differnet ways to play your hand. And yes, there is luck involved when it comes to this game. You just have to be on the right side of it when it hits. I can honestly say when it comes to poker (Texas Hold'Em), I've seen it all!
