I am a Nursing student at UC Irvine. I have a passion for learning and have taken several STEM courses. I have learned that I love to help fellow students in their own academic journey.

During my time at community college, I tutored Anatomy, Physiology, and Organic Chemistry. I currently tutor Anatomy at UCI and assist with the course development. I took the ATI TEAS exam for applying to other nursing schools.

Learning is a process. That is something I emphasize with all of the students I work with. Much like how learning how to a trick on a skateboard takes several tries to learn how to do, understanding difficult concepts and mastering dense material takes time and effort.

My heart goes out to all of the non traditional college students. I know first hand how crazy life can be at times and how difficult it can be to balance school with your health or other life stressors. It warms my heart to be able to help others facing similar struggles.

Regardless of what stage of life you are in, I am sure I can provide guidance whether it be for your STEM course, test prep, applying to universities, music, etc.

Anatomy

I received all A's when I took Anatomy & Physiology. Subsequently, I tutored Anatomy & Physiology for several semesters at community college. Now at UC Irvine, I act as a teaching assistant for the Anatomy lecture and lab. I also assist with the course development of the lab.
Biology

Biology

I have taken several biology courses and have gotten A's in all of them so far in college. First year Biology for Majors, Genetics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Neurobiology, Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, etc. I genuinely enjoy learning and took some of the above classes for fun.
Guitar

Guitar

I have been playing guitar for 8 years and love it! I started out playing piano and violin when I was younger, but I like guitar much more. I also play some ukulele. I play mostly fingerstyle (like Sungha Jung and Andrew Foy), but also like to play pop, rock, swing, and neo-soul. I also like to arrange covers of songs that I like for fingerstyle guitar (currently working on Glimpse of Us). I perform regularly at my university (feel free to message me to see some videos!) and play in a band.
Microbiology

I received an A in Microbiology. Additionally, I received the highest score in the class on one of the midterms, A's on the other exams, and a 100% on our lab final practicum. I took the lab in person and have extensive experience with microscopes, staining, Unknown projects, and other laboratory procedures. I genuinely like the course and have taken related courses, such as Cellular and Molecular Biology, and gotten A's in those as well.
Nursing

I am a UC Irvine Nursing student and have received all A's in my courses so far. I received all A's in my prerequisite courses (A&P, Microbiology, Inorganic Chemistry, Chemistry, etc.). I took the TEAS to apply to other nursing schools such as the CSUs and got into all of the CSUs I applied to including CSU Long Beach. I have extensive experience tutoring and mentoring pre-nursing students.
Physiology

I love physiology and got an A in the course. I've tutored Physiology extensively. I have also taken related courses such as Pathophysiology and gotten A's in all of them.
TEAS

TEAS

I took the TEAS exam in 2019 and scored 93%. With my score and academic record, I was admitted to all of the CSU's I had applied to. I scored a high scores on all of the sections, especially the Math and Science. Since then, I have tutored numerous students on preparing for the TEAS. I have also helped them with applying to various Nursing schools.

Brandon is very knowledgeable and clear. He’s explained things I never could understand in class. I ask a lot of questions and he’s been patient and extremely helpful. He does very well at breaking things down and into small parts so I can easily understand.

Positive additude

It was a hot day, but Brandon seemed to keep his cool by explaining fingerstyle material to me. Brandon is a mostly self-trained guitarist with aces up his sleeve in terms of musical background in violin and uses a well-grounded approach to tutoring by technique mastery.
