I graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Irvine with dual B.A. degrees in Psychological Science and Criminology, Law, and Society, a minor in Civic and Community Engagement, and a 3.97 cumulative GPA (4.00 psychology GPA). Since graduating, I have worked in psychology research labs at both UC Irvine and UC Berkeley, where I have gained experience in research methods, experimental design, qualitative and quantitative analysis, literature reviews, APA writing, and scientific communication. These experiences have given me a strong foundation in psychology, research methods, statistics, and academic writing.

My teaching experience comes from both formal and informal settings. As the Lead Youth Intern for Community Action Partnership of Orange County, I designed and taught an evidence-based curriculum for at-risk youth, adapting lessons to meet different learning needs. In my research positions, I have also mentored new research assistants by teaching research procedures and qualitative coding techniques. I have additionally helped classmates prepare for exams, improve research papers, and understand challenging course material through one-on-one support.

My tutoring style is patient, collaborative, and tailored to each student's goals. I focus on helping students understand concepts rather than memorize answers so they can become more confident and independent learners. Whether a student is preparing for an exam, strengthening their writing, or learning research methods, I aim to create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and developing skills that will benefit them long after our sessions.

Criminal Justice

I earned a B.A. in Criminology, Law, and Society from the University of California, Irvine, graduating magna cum laude with a 3.97 cumulative GPA. My coursework covered topics including criminological theory, criminal law, policing, corrections, juvenile justice, research methods, and the social and psychological factors that influence crime and the legal system. In addition to my academic training, I have conducted legal and policy research with Full Picture Justice, where I analyze criminal justice cases, synthesize research findings, and communicate complex legal and social issues to diverse audiences. I enjoy helping students connect theory to real-world applications while developing the critical thinking and analytical skills needed to succeed in criminal justice courses.
