I’m Jacob K. (professionally known as BARE), a music producer, songwriter, mixing engineer, and mastering engineer with over ten years of professional experience. I produced, co-wrote, mixed, and mastered “North Face” and the full Analogue album by ODIE, which gave me extensive real-world experience taking records from initial idea through final master and commercial release. My background is rooted in hands-on studio work and professional collaboration, and I have spent years refining my workflow inside Logic Pro X while developing a deep understanding of arrangement, vocal production, and mix clarity.
Over the past several years, I have worked one-on-one with artists and developing producers in private mentorship settings, helping them strengthen their technical skills while also improving their creative decision-making. My teaching style is highly practical and interactive. Rather than relying on abstract theory, I work directly inside the student’s session, demonstrating techniques in real time and explaining not just how to execute something, but why a professional would make that choice. I focus heavily on workflow organization, critical listening, and building the confidence required to finish songs at a release-ready level.
I primarily work with high school, college-aged, and adult students who already have a basic understanding of music production and want to advance toward a more professional standard. Lessons are conducted one-on-one and tailored to each student’s goals, whether that means improving vocal mixes, developing stronger arrangements, or learning how to structure sessions more efficiently. My goal as a tutor is to bridge the gap between hobby-level production and professional-level execution, giving students practical tools and insight drawn directly from real industry experience.
