I'm a geneticist, science teacher, and public speaking coach with more than five years experience teaching classes to students around the world. I am a former judge of several public speaking competitions, and have taught dozens of remote classes on public speaking and science from students in the United States, Canada, China, and Singapore.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology and a Master's Degree in Advanced Genetics with a thesis in Bioinformatics. However, at the Elementary and Middle-School levels I've taught science courses to gifted students on a wide variety of non-Biology subjects, from Astronomy, to Environmental Science Engineering. For the High-School, University, and "Adults who just want to learn" levels, I focus on Biology and Public Speaking.

What sets me apart from other science tutors is my ability to take complex topics and distill them into easily-understood concepts. I teach a wide variety of ages, many of whom reside in other countries and are not native English speakers.

It is my personal belief that the memorization of complex science words is less important and more impermanent than really understanding how something works. If you can explain something better using less complex vocabulary, then good for you!

For students who listen to the teacher in class, yet can't seem to grasp what on Earth is being said; you are more than capable of learning. Not every teaching style is right for everybody, and sometimes you just need someone to put these ideas into a new context and work with YOU, personally.
