I've performed thousands of hours of consulting in accounting system design, implementation and training, including setup, cleanup, file repair and more using QuickBooks (QB®) desktop programs, QuickBooks Online® (QBO®) profiles, Quicken®, Microsoft Excel®, and many third-party apps that sync with QB® or work with it as part of accounting systems. I guide my customers through setting up and using highly-customized setup and workflows, doing things properly the first time to save time and money. I provide homework suggestions o help customers save time and money, reach their goals faster, and make the process as easy as possible.

I offer a free first live customized consultation. It typically includes a brief screen share in which the customer maintains control of their cursor. I've been fortunate to work with many people who have the set of characteristics called ADHD and to get to share in their journey as they get to know themselves including their unique assets and opportunities. I'm experienced at working with both children and adults with ADD and ADHD. I've gained this experience through Sonoma State University where I earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and graduated with distinction, and through work as an elementary school teacher's aide, a business consultant and most importantly, life. Through a special studies program at SSU, I designed and completed a community involvement project which included organizing and leading a support group of over fifty adults around the topic of ADD, and researching and presenting psychoeducational information to the group's participants. This work also gave me the opportunity to work with some teens diagnosed with ADHD, mostly in advocacy. I also have experience working as a teacher's aide years ago with elementary school children who were diagnosed with ADHD and other learning challenges -- one of the most rewarding jobs I've ever experienced! As I also have a strong interest in food and natural medicine, I've taken the opportunity to explore natural ways to support those with ADHD. Excellent studies exist on this and I thoroughly enjoy sharing about them!

I've worked directly with thousands of business owners to set up their business accounting and other departments. This typically starts with assisting the business owner in becoming more self-sufficient in their accounting system. Since setting up an accounting system often requires connecting many aspects of a business, my customers and I commonly work with integrating departments and setting up organizational systems that work well with the accounting system. This has given me extensive behind-the-scenes experience in accounting, computer hardware, software and networking, business plan development (including marketing plan development), sales and marketing. In the course of my work, I've had the opportunity to do some interesting things such as learn how a naturopath makes her own B-12 shots, or assist with a photo shoot. My computer science skills and experience are in database management including creating and maintaining files and profiles using QuickBooks, Windows, Mac and other software. My education includes various computer courses including one on programming Mac computers, and one covering HTML. I love math, have consistently received "A's" in math, and have tutored math with great success starting when I was a child tutoring other children over the summers. I worked as an elementary school teacher's aid with K through 6th grade students who were struggling the most. I've recently completed a very thorough review of K through fifth grade math, arithmetic, prealgebra, and additional math topics as a way to stay very familiar with the latest math terminology and teaching methods. I also did this to maintain a very strong foundation in math and to find additional ways of tutoring the various levels of math that I tutor.

For decades, scientific reports have concluded that what we consume -- food, herbs and other things -- have a profound affect on our neuropsychology. I have been fascinated with this for over 45 years, and have studied this independently since I was a child, and formally through school. One of my favorite approaches to assisting people with improving their learning is to go over their diet, lifestyle and related factors and find ways to quickly, easily and naturally improve their mental clarity, focus, memory and more. Most customers I've worked with using natural approaches have reported significant improvement within three days! I incorporate various additional approaches, such as learning strategies learned through a course of the same name at Sonoma State University, organizing skills learned through many sources over many years, and other modalities. I have often been told that I am very organized, and have consulted for years in helping people organize their accounting and their businesses. I've also organized homes for various people. At SSU, I earned a bachelors in psychology with a focus on transpersonal psychology and graduated with distinction. Through SSU, I founded an ADHD group with approximately 50 members. Christine is a very knowledgeable and patient tutor. She understands not only how to educate in Quickbooks but also how to help in a real world business. I have found some tutors are good at teaching on an academic basis, but not necessarily good at tutoring in real world business. Christine is great at both. She explains things very clearly and patiently. She has been very helpful in the transition of taking over a businesses accounting from another accountant. I would highly recommend her.

Quickbooks review

Christine was asked to get me back up to speed on QB desktop and QBO. She was experienced in both and pointed out the pros and cons for each. I am taking over the books for a start up company and because of her instruction was able to better choose the appropriate accounting software.

QB lesson

I liked that she offers a free 1 hour consultation so I could decide if she was the right tutor for me. After this we did a 1.5 lesson and then I decided to continue with more. She helped me choose the best version of QB for our family company and taught me the essentials of QB. She often checks in during my lesson to make sure I am following and understanding. I like that I am learning QB customized to our business, I am not just learning general features of the software but learning how to apply them to our business.
