I got my start tutoring as Homework Club volunteer in high school, working one-on-one with struggling students to help them catch up and find their academic footing. During my time at Berkeley, where I majored in Integrative Biology and minored in Spanish, I was an undergraduate student instructor in biology and chemistry lab courses, helping students in class and during office hours to facilitate and understanding of a variety of difficult concepts. In this time between my college graduation and my matriculation to med school, I’ve tutored in a range of different subjects, focusing on Biology, Chemistry, Spanish, and English. I also enjoy facilitating test prep in each of the above fields, and have experience preparing students to tackle AP exams, the SAT (including relevant Subject Tests), and the MCAT. Ultimately, whatever the grade level or current aptitude of the student, the success of the individual is my primary objective, and I am focused on the specific needs of the person I’m trying to help.
