I recently retired after serving as science department chair for 15 years, giving me flexibility in scheduling sessions. My teaching journey began as a graduate student instructing evening classes, and even after earning my Ph.D. and spending time in research, I was drawn back to the classroom.
I’ve taught both in-person and remotely, developing engaging and comprehensive approaches to learning chemistry. Beyond content mastery, I help students strengthen study skills, time management, and focus, and I’ve guided many in preparing for the ACT Science and SAT subject tests. I am a recently retired high school teacher with over 40 years experience. I served as the science department chair in a private high school for the last 15 years of my career. We used the HSPT to help place students appropriately in 9th grade classes.

I have been teaching high school for over 30 years. I have used both the Chemistry Olympiad and the Regents exam in my honors and AP chemistry classes. Typically my students will perform the lab experiments and used released test questions for practice.

Liz had a private lesson with my daughter on AP Chemistry. She is a wonderful tutor as she is very knowledgeable on the subject. She explained the AP exam questions and my daughter feels Liz is very helpful on her queries.
