About Bridget

Bio

Hello! I am a certified K-12 Spanish teacher with more than 15 years of experience working with students, and I have been a professional tutor since 2009. I have been studying Spanish since 2000, and I studied abroad in Spain and Ecuador for a semester each as part of my Teaching of Spanish degree.

Hello! I am a certified K-12 Spanish teacher with more than 15 years of experience working with students, and I have been a professional tutor since 2009. I have been studying Spanish since 2000, and I studied abroad in Spain and Ecuador for a semester each as part of my Teaching of Spanish degree.

In addition to tutoring Spanish, I have helped students in many levels of math including elementary math through pre-calculus. One on one is a perfect environment to answer all the specific questions for a particular homework assignment or test. I have been professionally trained for ACT and SAT test preparation, and have tutored over 100 hours in this material.

I am more than happy to provide original materials, but I always start with what the student has to do for homework or what he or she is learning in class and build off of that. If the student didn't have enough work to fill the hour, I supplemented with additional materials. I generally work with my students weekly in order to keep up with current materials and fill in any gaps or problem areas.

I am a cheerful and energetic person. I like to have variety in the materials that I work with. For my students learning Spanish, I incorporate music, cartoons, books, art projects, cooking, and any other fun ideas that can be educational. For math, I help create mnemonic devices and little songs to remember formulas and equations. I really enjoy working with students and I try my best to make sure that they understand and have fun!

My daughter is 6th grade now and resist to learn or have tutor for the math before, but since now she has some test and will involve some pre-algebra, i have buy some book for her to do the self-study, but explanation is quite long and she cannot concentrate to read each concept. so i search Google and find the Bridget.
