He is a winner in numerous international piano competitions, such as the International William C. Byrd Piano Concerto Competition, the International Tchaikovsky Competition, the International Steinway Piano Competition, and the Ettlingen International Competition for Young Pianists, etc.
Dr. Liu has appeared in solo, chamber, and concerto performances in the United States, Germany, China, the Netherlands, Russia, England, and Korea, and has collaborated with distinguished musicians and institutions internationally.
As an educator, Dr. Liu is dedicated to developing each student’s technical foundation, musical imagination, artistic maturity, and disciplined practice habits. His instruction combines conservatory-level training with individualized artistic mentorship.
