I am a UCLA graduate, class of 2005, and have been tutoring professionally since 2010. I tutor/teach elementary math, prealgebra, algebra 1, algebra 2, geometry, and precalculus.

Algebra 1 builds on the concepts studied and practiced in pre-algebra. I can help you understand the concepts, so that you can complete math problems on your own.

I am a UCLA graduate with 10 years of experience tutoring math, from the elementary to high school level. When the new Common Core requirements were instituted, I helped my students transition to the new model of math education. The core content is the same, but what has changed is the challenge for students to provide more thorough explanations in their solutions, as well as apply concepts to the real world. I have helped many students get over this hurdle of the Common Core math approach, to help them achieve success in the classroom, as well as on standardized tests.

Geometry

Geometry can be tricky if you don't start out knowing the basics very well. I'll help you practice and understand all the basics, so you can master more advanced geometry later down the road.

My primary exposure to the home school model is working with my own daughter in elementary school. I have worked with home school families for over 7 years now, focused on the high school math subjects, as that is my area of expertise, and it is usually the most difficult for parents to get through with their children. Additionally, on occasion, I have worked through the core subjects: English, science, and Spanish as a foreign language. Most of the families I have worked with come from Classical Academy and Coastal Academy in North County San Diego.

Prealgebra takes elementary math a step further, as well as prepares you for the concepts in algebra. I will help you review and practice so that you are best prepared to take your math to the next level.

Exactly What I Need!

Rossania first helped me last semester having faced a Math class in college that I have had zero skills utilized within the past 15 years. I ended up obtaining a 4.0. Fast forward to this semseter, I am now facing the most failed class in all of Arizona University, thus far I am maintaining a 3.0 average and continuing to strive while many others have already dropped out or remain on a path to certain demise.
