I have had the privilege of teaching middle schoolers ranging from 10 to 13 years old. After teaching over 1000 students, it is safe to say that I understand that it starts with mindset first. Many students internalize that they are either good or bad at math, but I have spent years dismantling that for students. That is why my classroom kids always increased their test scores. They started to believe in themselves once again.
One thing that makes me stand out (besides my years of classroom experience) is knowing that every kid is different. I have worked with students who see math differently, and I have worked with many neurodiverse students. You have to find the right approach, and that is exactly what I do as a teacher. I am excited to bring my vast experience with integrated tools to make sure your student starts to understand the language of math.
