I have about 15 years of tutoring and teaching experience. My methodology tends to focus on identifying what students already know, and successively building upon that to build students’ confidence and enrich their subject-area knowledge.
Most of my previous tutoring and teaching experience has been with high school and college/graduate students, in classes ranging from pre-algebra all the way up to calculus and statistics. I was the primary instructor for a lower division Biostatistics for Public Health majors courses (containing about 60 students), as well as having served as a teaching assistant for a variety of statistics classes for both undergraduate and graduate students. Most of my teaching/tutoring experience has been one-on-one or in small groups of no more than 2-4 students.
