I have achieved M.Ed. Master of Education-Emphasis in English / English Literature with a GPA: 3.70. I have proven success in English writing and reading strategies in helping students become excellent essay writers and comprehensive readers.
I specialize in English and Technology for composition, reading comprehension, and tests such as the GRE, GMAT, SAT, ACT, GED, and Common Core State Standard. My curriculum for each learning session is to keep the student challenged and engaged. I have no rules, but expectations and I don't give homework; I give Earned Learning Opportunities and progress reports.
I am generally available for tutoring Monday to Saturday from 10am to 8pm and I can travel to students or meet online.
I am a Microsoft Certified Trainer with certifications in; Excel Specialist, Microsoft Master in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Sway.
I enjoy being prepared, which allows me to explain subjects for students to gain knowledge of the composition and principles of fundamental and abstract subjects. I delight in planning meaningful, heartfelt, and participatory lessons centered around technology to help students engage in lessons. To help students reach their goals, I will give each student a comprehensive course curriculum containing supportive electronic resources and secure web sites information geared towards the students’ intrinsic learning styles. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I attended the University of La Verne and attained a Masters of Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in English and English Literature. I also am a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT).
