Hi! My name is Aimee and I am currently pursuing a master's in biotechnology at Northeastern University, I earned my bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Johns Hopkins and currently work in a R&D role where I apply concepts from biology, chemistry, data analysis and laboratory science in a professional setting. My academic and industry experience has given me a strong foundation in STEM subjects, and I enjoy helping students build confidence in challenging subjects.
As a tutor, my goal is not just to help students get the right answer, but to help them understand the concepts and problem-solving strategies behind it. I know firsthand that STEM related subjects can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
I tailor each session to the individual student's needs, whether that means reviewing foundational concepts, working through homework problems, preparing for exams, or developing effective study habits. I believe that every student can succeed with the right guidance and approach, and I enjoy breaking down complex topics into manageable, easy-to-understand steps.
Having worked in both rigorous academic programs and a professional research setting, I can also help students connect classroom concepts to real-world applications, making the material more engaging and meaningful. I am passionate about education and look forward to helping students achieve their academic goals while building confidence in their abilities.
