Hi, I'm Yuying! I am currently a senior at San Leandro High School with a 4.4 weighted GPA. I am expected to attend the University of California, Berkeley in the fall of 2026. I used to struggle a lot with how to study challenging subjects like math and science, and I have realized how effective reward-based learning can be when concepts are broken down and connected to real-world contexts. Because of this, I design customized teaching lessons that make students learn in an easy-to-understand way, tailoring my lessons to individual needs and comprehension styles.

I have extensive hands-on experience guiding and supervising younger learners, including managing preparatory academic tasks and household schedules for my younger brother and tutoring in elementary math. Having achieved top marks on advanced exams—including AP Calculus AB (5), AP Chinese (5), and AP Chemistry (4)—I know exactly what it takes to excel in rigorous coursework and build long-term confidence. I am glad to tutor at any level of mathematics, chemistry, economics, environmental science, and statistics, as well as offer native Mandarin language support.
