I'm Vrinda! I am currently pursuing my M.A. in International Economics and Finance at Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), after graduating from the University of California, Davis with degrees in Economics and International Relations.

There have been many instances where I have been bombarded with material in educational settings, feeling overwhelmed and stuck. As a tutor, I tackle this issue by taking dense material and reducing it to bite-sized information. Narrowing the material down to the fundamental concepts has not only made topics feel less overwhelming, but has also made it easier for my students to understand and retain information. I always tailor my strategies to each student's individual needs, learning style, and preferences.

I have over 11 years of tutoring experience across reading, writing, history, economics, and other humanities and social science subjects. I have extensive experience with AP exam preparation and have helped my students consistently earn scores of 5 on their AP exams. As a volunteer tutor with Learn to Be, I have also worked with students with learning disabilities, helping them improve reading fluency and comprehension and get back on track academically.

From teaching phonics to second graders to preparing students for AP World History and Economics exams, I have worked with learners across a wide range of ages and ability levels. I have had the privilege of helping students significantly improve their grades, build confidence in challenging subjects, and reach—and often exceed—their academic goals.
