I am also a summa cum laude graduate (3.96 GPA) from the University of Southern California with a master's in Teaching. Hello! Thank you for taking the time to get to know me! I am a summa cum laude graduate (4.0 GPA) from San Jose State University with a bachelor's in Justice Studies. I am also a summa cum laude graduate (3.96 GPA) from the University of Southern California with a master's in Teaching. I have several years of experience teaching History at the high school and middle school level.

I have worked with students who possess various learning disabilities and have specific cognitive needs. I believe that academic success should be available to anyone regardless of socioeconomic status. I pride myself in helping students who may have lost their passion for school or who are struggling to get back on track.

It hurts my heart to say it, but many teachers are more interested in giving busy-work or trying to stump students rather than teaching. I approach many sessions with a clearly defined objective and with easy steps to follow and practice in order to achieve results. Of course, any academic endeavor is a two-way street between the teacher and the student. However, I believe it is the responsibility of educators to inspire their students as much as possible. As a teacher, I have always been able to connect with my students on a personal level and help them break through different academic barriers.

I have passed the U.S. History AP Exam. I also have a B.S. in Justice Studies from San Jose State University. This major included many aspects of U.S. History. In fact, I had a multiple history prerequisite classes for my Justice Studies degree.

I've utilized various teacher preparation materials, so I can confidently speak to which materials were the most helpful and which were the least helpful.

I've also volunteered with a non-profit that took a critical look at the juvenile criminal justice system and how it operates in our society. Great Lesson

Aaron taught my son about outlining an essay and how to deconstruct an essay. He is also helping him with his summer work. My son finds his guidance really helpful and feels that he is getting better at writing. He is also very friendly and pleasant to work with.
