Great Cantonese teacher
Jieming is patient, punctual, and a pleasure to work with. She's a native Chinese speaker with excellent English skills. In a short time I've seen great progress on my conversational Cantonese skills. She's expanded my vocabulary, improved my pronunciation, and taught me about Chinese culture. Knowledgeable and patient tutor
I've had one complete lesson with her. She seems to be a capable and knowledgeable tutor. When I have time I will take lessons from her again. I have already learned a few words in Chinese and how to sing the Chinese alphabet.

Excellent tutor who loves to teach
I think the best part about the lesson was how clearly she enjoys teaching. This seems to be her passion and not something she is doing just to make a little side money. She is funny, smart and more than being a native Chinese speaker, she understands the difficulties in learning the language as well as how to teach non-native speakers. As it was the first time we met, we started with a game of questions -- 5 each. it was a clever way to break the ice and get to know a little bit about each other. My Chinese is rusty. Thankfully, Jieming speaks perfectly clear "broadcaster" Chinese with no accent at a speed slow enough for me to understand. She was also good about correcting my pronunciation (critical for being understood) when it was off and she was very patient when i couldn't find the words i wanted. she graciously took notes for words i didn't know so i could review them on my own time and hopefully remember the next time they come up. Finally, she is flexible on text books. i'm using one from a previous class as a study guide and we will move forward on grammar / sentence patterns with it.

Pleasant - Easy to understand, and work with
Jieming is very pleasant to work with. She makes sure to remind you of your upcoming lesson and is punctual. Her lesson was very good and she adjusted her style to accommodate helping me to get the most out of the lesson. She is very knowledgeable and gave very helpful insights to the things she was teaching from a practical "real life" standpoint. I am looking forward to more classes with Jieming.
