Hello and welcome!
As a CA multiple subject credentialed and experienced middle school math teacher, I tutor grades 3-8 in math* and a variety of other subjects. My BA and Multiple Subject teaching credential are from UCLA. My credential includes supplementary subject authorizations in mathematics and English.
Currently, I tutor through WyzAnt and substitute teach (grades 3-8) for Union, Moreland, Campbell, and Cambrian, school districts. I appreciate working with different grade levels and it is an asset to have the subject content articulation understanding of where/how thematic topics continue (especially helpful with various Common Core programs). In 2014, I further extended my teacher muse repertoire as a WyzAnt tutor and as a 4th grade summer school math enrichment teacher.
My favorite subject to teach and tutor is Math/Pre-Algebra from all levels of exploration. Mathematics is the science of patterns, and it is a language. A perspective of muse/fun can sometimes open different pathways on the journey to get things done. The various Common Core programs often expect prior math knowledge along with the program's learning methodology that can sometimes leave disconnects/gaps and frustrated students. I also have assisted students prepare for math placement tests and transition to various math programs at different schools.
Whether it be organization skills, homework/exam prep., subject empowerment/confidence/advancement, ...I invite you to consider a teacher muse for a tutor guide to transform the journey into a positive adventure onward.

Mrs. D has really helped both of my kids, and has been extremely patient with them as they've struggled with challenging math concepts.
My daughter is a six grader and is taking 7th grade online math by herself. She always feels confused. With Ms. S's help, she is much clearer now. We know it is very important to have a good math foundation in middle school, and a great tutor would make it much easier.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have worked with about 7 different students who were designated as aspergers and/or on the spectrum in recent years. In general, these students tend to do well to very well in math because it's structured. It's not social cue dependent or choice confusing.
I don't have special ed. or autism certification, but I do have teaching experience specifically with aspergers designated students in my middle school math classes.
My multiple subject credential earned Professional Clear status prior to 1983.
The CBEST was designed to test basic proficiency in reading, mathematics, and writing.
I also have supplementary single-subject matter authorizations on my credential in English and mathematics (through grade nine).
My Professional Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential issued by the state of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) states that it "authorizes the holder to teach multiple subject matter (self contained) classes grades 12 and below" that would be me. So that satisfies the "Elementary (K-6th)" qualifications as documented by my state. I also hold a certificate of NCLB compliance as "highly qualified".
I have a CA CTC Multiple Subject Professional Clear Teaching Credential. I've taught mostly in the middle school/junior high school environment. The study smarter skills conundrum that is part of the middle grades, 5th through 9th grade piece can be resolved.
I am familiar with the pitfalls of long term due dates, I have experience working with students to record assignments, and I have witnessed many times what does and doesn't work for tweens.
I also have single subject authorizations in the areas of Language Arts (reading & writing)/English and math to help students extract information and problem solve.
