My favorite subject to tutor is Spanish. But I enjoy working with students in English (grammar/composition), World History, U.S. History and learning how and what to study for tests. My goal is to help students see success in learning whatever subject is in front of them. I currently work with elementary students, teaching Spanish, but I have also been tutoring high school students in Spanish 1, 2 and 3.
I love to travel and lived in Mexico and Venezuela for 4 years while in my teens. Thus began my love of the Spanish language and enjoying cultures and languages. Debbie has been a huge help to my son who needed tutoring in Spanish 2. She is very nice, reliable, professional, and a pleasure to know. I highly recommend Debbie to anyone who is looking for a Spanish tutor.
Debbie is an amazing tutor because she will always try to push you to do your hardest. When you come across a hard question, she will give you clues, but you are mainly on your own. She is easy to contact, and she is very polite and I am sure many people are glad to have her as a tutor. She will quiz you and give you tips and tricks to help you with tricky concepts, and she does an excellent job as a tutor!
Debbie is the best Spanish tutor my son had. She is patient, explains everything clearly and is always prepared. She is always on time and a pleasure to deal with.
Debbie does an amazing job. Our son loves meeting with her and looks forward to his Spanish lessons. Thank you so much. She really gets him and what motivates him.
Debbie is a wonderful tutor. With her help, my daughter was able to secure an "A" in Spanish 2. Debbie is a teacher so her skill in tutoring is far superior than most other tutors. She is very knowledgeable in Spanish and thus, insightful in bringing awareness to problems that my daughter may encounter. Most importantly, my teenage daughter really likes Debbie. She is extremely patient and makes every effort to ensure that my daughter understands her school assignments. I'm so glad that Debbie will be tutoring my daughter when she takes Spanish 3 this fall.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I graduated from a Bible College. I also am a pastor's wife and have taken as well as taught about 10 Bible Studies at my church. I also took several Bible classes when I was at Bible college.
I teach Spanish and assist in an elementary school - K-5 - and so I am able to tutor elementary students in all subjects. I also enjoy working with these age groups.

I am very familiar with reading, writing, spelling, grammar and composition writing. I have also helped my own children (3 grown daughters - 2 who are college graduates). I enjoy working with students - helping them in their writing and research projects. I would welcome working with your child.
I tutor high school students in Spanish 1, 2, and 3 with great results! I enjoy working with high school students and taught Spanish 1 at Valley Christian High School Summer School several years ago.
One of my past jobs was typing and transcribing reports for a private investigator. I have also edited research papers for high school students. I also have a good vocabulary and am able to spot spelling errors quickly.
I have been a teacher for almost 10 years. I have tutored several students in the past few years, helping them organize their work, creating a weekly calendar of their classes, determining when and what they need to study for. I also help students narrow down their subject matter and focus on the key items to study for. I have worked with all ages of students - junior high through high school. I have also worked with international students where English is their second language. I have helped them compose written language assignments and research papers.
I have written many reports and papers for classes. Most recently, I have taken several classes with University of Phoenix where I have to write papers and I have consistently received an A on my own papers. I know I can help students write a good essay, research paper, persuasive essay, etc.
