I come from a family of artists, so at a very young age I developed a love for art, in all its forms. From middle school, through high school, I had the chance to add to my art skills by taking many classes in sketching, sculpting, and oil painting. During my time at CSU Stanislaus, I've been able to become even more developed in the areas of sketching, charcoal, oil pastels and studio art. I've been able to offer art lessons to children from elementary age to high school age. And many of them went from drawing stick figures, to being able to develop masterpieces of their own. I would say that I definitely have a deep love for art and love to pass on that love of art to others, whenever I can.

Elementary (K-6th)

For me, k-6th was a time where I really excelled in school. During that time I maintained a 3.8 gpa and enjoyed the many subjects I was able to learn during that time period. In 3rd grade, I loved English and reading and had the privilege of winning first place in the school spelling bee. I also excelled in Math and was taking 7th grade math while in the 5th grade.

General Computer

I would say that I have been able to acquire much experience in the field of computers, having lived in the Silicon Valley or technology capital. During middle school through high school, I had the privilege of not only taking many computer classes, but of also being able to be on the newspaper committee, where I was also able to learn even more about computers. Also, when I entered CSU Stanislaus as a freshman, my major was Computer Science, so I was able to take many classes there that involved computers such as, web design, computer programming, etc.

Phonics

Over the course of my education, I would have to say that I am very proficient in the area of Phonics. At a very young age I took a deep interest in Phonics and quickly learned that that is the key to reading well, as well as speaking well. I have also had the privilege of helping those who were learning English as a second language succeed in their endeavors to learn English and find the subject of Phonics very enjoyable. As a tutor in Phonics, I hope to pass that same joy to my students.

Photography

Growing up, I have always had an interest in art and all its forms, including photography. In high school and college, I have had the privilege of being able to take a couple of classes for photography and computer graphics. The amount of things you can do with pictures is incredible and endless. In teaching photography, I try to help the student also experience the endless possibilities that can be achieved through photography.
