I’m a native Japanese speaker from Fukuoka, Japan, with over 11 years of professional experience in Japan in finance, higher education, and marketing. I also worked in the international affairs office at a Japanese university, where I supported international education programs and students. Throughout my career, I trained and supported new employees, which taught me how to explain things clearly and adapt my communication to different people. I can also communicate in English and provide explanations in English when helpful.
I primarily tutor adult learners and tailor my lessons to each student’s goals, interests, and learning experience. I believe Japanese is more than just a language. It can be a tool for connecting with people, discovering Japanese culture, and sharing a laugh together. My goal is to help you build Japanese that you can actually use and feel confident using in real life.
I offer two types of lessons. If you are new to Japanese, we can learn step by step with a beginner-friendly textbook, building a strong foundation in grammar, vocabulary, sentence patterns, and everyday expressions.
If you have already studied some Japanese, we can focus on conversation and free talk based on topics you enjoy. I’ll help you express yourself naturally, gently correct mistakes, and introduce useful expressions that native Japanese speakers actually use.
Whether you are learning Japanese for travel, relationships, work, culture, or simply for fun, I want to make our lessons useful, comfortable, and enjoyable for you.
