Hi everyone! I am a sophomore at Rice University on the Pre-Med Track, studying Biochemistry. I offer tutoring support for General/AP Chemistry, USNCO, AP Physics C: Mechanics and E/M, and AP Biology.
I have worked as a tutor for 4 years with regards to biology, chemistry, and math at all grade levels from K-12, working as a peer tutor throughout highschool and tutoring elementary/middle school students. I have learned through my experiences that effective tutoring requires more than just going through the motions of teaching the material. In order to be an effective tutor, I must be able to adapt my instructional style to that of each individual student, identify deficiencies in their understanding of the concepts being taught, and work with students to formulate strategies for solving problems independently. It brings me such joy and fulfillment to witness a student developing confidence and achieving goals that they felt would never be possible for them.
I am a USABO semifinals qualifier and t225. I have also taken 13 APs and received a 5 on all of them, demonstrating my ability to tackle these exams. Working with fellow peers and students is my passion, and I can't wait to meet you to help you learn the material I dedicated a lot of time to understanding!
