Hi! My name is Neetu, and I am an undergraduate student studying Computer Science at Cornell University. I am deeply passionate about helping students build confidence in subjects that often feel intimidating at first, specifically mathematics and programming. I believe that with the right guidance and encouragement, every student can develop both competence and confidence in these areas.
I bring prior tutoring experience from both middle and high school settings. I worked as a math tutor for elementary school students, where I focused on building foundational skills and making learning engaging and accessible. Additionally, I served as a peer tutor for Algebra I students in high school, where I supported classmates in mastering core concepts and improving their problem-solving abilities. These experiences helped me develop strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to break down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps tailored to each student’s learning style. One of the most rewarding aspects of tutoring for me is seeing students grow more confident in their learning, which continues to motivate my work.
Alongside tutoring, I have consistently strengthened my own technical foundation through both high school and college coursework. I have experience with programming languages, including Python, Java, and OCaml, and I earned an A- in my Data Structures and Algorithms course at Cornell. I am particularly interested in helping students understand core computer science concepts, such as data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving techniques, and guiding them toward developing strong analytical thinking skills that extend beyond the classroom.
