I am a mother of two and have been homeschooling for the past five years across both elementary and middle school levels. Throughout this journey, I’ve helped my children build strong academic foundations and discovered a genuine passion for teaching and guiding young learners. As a parent of a child with special needs, I have developed effective strategies to break down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps, making learning clearer, easier, and far less overwhelming.
I strongly believe in building a solid foundation by ensuring prerequisite skills are mastered before moving on to new topics. For this reason, I continuously assess learning gaps and address them before introducing new concepts. I also encourage students to show their work step-by-step, so they not only arrive at the correct answer but truly understand the reasoning behind it.
Academically, I hold a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and an MBA from Singapore Management University. I earned near-perfect scores in the math sections of both the GRE and GMAT, and I bring 10 years of professional experience as an engineer before choosing to stay home to focus on my children’s education.
My goal is to help students build confidence in math, strengthen problem-solving skills, and develop deep understanding.
