I'm Kirsten and I firmly believe that anyone can excel in algebra! I graduated with a masters degree in physics, and a doctorate in biophysics. In college, I managed a university tutoring center for undergraduates and tutored high school students across all science and math subjects through a local Upward Bound program, focused on empowering high schoolers who were the first in their family to attend college. I continued teaching and tutoring math, physics, and biology throughout graduate school, and 10 years ago I published an algebra curriculum designed for middle and high schoolers.
Everyone learns a little bit differently. There is no one size fits all and so you shouldn't feel bad if a course you are taking gives you trouble. It is just a matter of figuring out how you learn, in this case, algebra. I have developed an arsenal of explanations for each of the topics you learn in algebra 1 and algebra 2 and together we will find your perfect fit so you can master and (hopefully) enjoy algebra!
