As a dedicated educator currently pursuing my undergraduate degree at the University of California, Davis, I have spent the last two years refining a teaching philosophy centered on clarity, patience, and academic empowerment. My journey began as an independent chemistry tutor, where I developed a personalized approach to one of the most challenging subjects in the high school curriculum. By breaking down complex molecular structures and chemical equations into relatable concepts, I helped students bridge the gap between rote memorization and true conceptual understanding.

Building on that foundation, I transitioned to a professional role at Kumon, where I spent an additional year guiding students through rigorous mathematics and reading programs. This experience allowed me to master the art of structured learning and individualized instruction. Working within a high-volume educational environment taught me how to identify specific learning gaps quickly and adapt my communication style to meet the diverse needs of both middle and high school students.

I am deeply familiar with the unique academic and developmental milestones of the secondary education age group. Whether I am helping a middle schooler build foundational confidence or assisting a high school student in navigating advanced coursework, my goal is always the same: to foster a growth mindset.
