Dear Students,
My name is Andrew Vogt (Mr. V). I hold a Master’s degree in Philosophy with Distinction, as well as a Bachelor’s in Theology, and am well versed in all major humanities traditions. My academic journey has taken me through the major branches of philosophy—ethics, epistemology, metaphysics, logic, and the history of thought—and I’m passionate about making these often challenging subjects accessible and engaging for learners at all levels.
I also tutor students in academic writing, including essays, theses, dissertations, poetry, creative writing, and others. I have published my own work, and it has been accepted into the Library of Congress.
Additionally, I lived and taught ESL in Japan for 10 years; I am internationally certified, and able to tutor English to English language learners, regardless of level or background.
Finally, I have served as a long-term substitute teacher at Mountain View-Los Altos High School District, in Special Education, and hold a student success specialization from the American Psychological Association.
I would be honored to work with you and I welcome your contact!
-Mr. V
