My name is Rami, and I recently graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Physics. Throughout my academic journey, I have had the privilege of delving deeply into subjects such as Classical Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, and Quantum Mechanics, giving me a strong foundation in both the theoretical (mathematical) and practical aspects of physics. This educational background, coupled with my personal experience overcoming ADHD and performing exceptionally in challenging courses, has instilled in me a passion for helping others succeed in their studies.
As a Teacher Assistant for the Classical Mechanics course at San Jose State University, I evaluated and provided feedback to 50-100 students, helping them understand complex physics concepts related to their homework and exams. By further exposing me to the subject matter after taking the course myself, this experience solidified my understanding of classical mechanics and refined my ability to explain the concepts in a manner suitable for university and high school level students. I also served as a volunteer tutor for peers, providing one-on-one support to students who were struggling in their physics classes; an informal experience which shaped my approach to tutoring. By making it a priority to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable, I root my approach in active engagement where I encourage students to ask even the simplest of questions, develop problem-solving strategies, and build confidence in their abilities.
