I graduated from Georgia Tech in Materials Science and Engineering, where I built a strong foundation in math, science, and analytical problem-solving. During my time there, I worked as an undergraduate researcher focusing on polymer engineering and energy-related applications, using spectrometry and data analysis to understand material behavior. I now work as a corrosion engineer, where I analyze real-world systems and identify risks based on operating conditions and data. These experiences have trained me to break down complex problems into clear, logical steps, which is how I approach tutoring.

I have experience working with elementary and middle school students in math in both one-on-one and small group settings. In addition, I tutored Korean for two years to an Indian American student, where I created all of the lesson materials myself based on the student’s level and learning style. That experience taught me how to structure lessons from scratch and adapt quickly depending on how a student responds. I genuinely enjoy teaching because it is rewarding to see students go from feeling stuck to fully understanding a concept.

I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind each step rather than memorizing procedures. I also place a strong emphasis on confidence, creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and thinking through problems out loud. My goal is not just to help students get the right answer, but to help them understand why it works so they can approach future problems with confidence.
