My interests in the Physical Sciences began at Palomar College (2001). I began tutoring at the Palomar College Math Tutor Center, when I began my first semester in Calc Based Physics. I knew that I loved Math when I took Calculus, but Physics advanced my competency in Critical Thinking, and therefore, Physics was a very important milestone for me! While at my JC, I remained employed as a tutor for the next 2 years, recieving my California State Certification.
I transfered to Calpoly, San Luis Obispo (2004) under Electrical Engineering, continuing my interests in Math and Physics. Whether in class, helping my fellow students, or hired as a private tutor, I have always enjoyed explaining the concepts of critical thinking in ways that will inspire and foster those on a similar path to my own.
In 2007, I worked as an Art Teacher, for 1 year at Avenal Middle School, CA. Though I enjoyed teaching art, still, the Physical Sciences remained my passion. Later, in 2008, I pursued a BS in Applied Mathematics, at Fresno Pacific University. There I was awarded Senior Highest Honors, and I was able to further my abilities as a tutor, by working at FPU's Tutor Center. The Tutor Center there pushed me to better my attention to developing student's technical writing, note taking, organization, and study skills.
After working as an Undergraduate Math and Physics Tutor at Fresno Pacific, I worked as a private Math Tutor for 7-8 yrs on my own. I use my Math and Critical Thinking skills everyday. I enjoy tutoring Math, not only becuase it keeps me sharp, but most of all, I enjoy helping others to discover their own interest and passion for this powerful, and life changing, subject of study.
